When an older LED artwork – affectionately nicknamed the “Robot Worm” – was removed from the exhibit, it left a noticeably dim spot in the middle of the exhibit. The Wind Chimes were constructed to fill this gap – adding a new dynamic lighting element to a room full of shiny distractions. By focusing on lightweight materials and minimalist design, this programmable LED piece was able to be built and installed quickly – providing necessary illumination, while also fitting comfortably into the DIY aesthetic of the space.
